CTI Local Heroes
Award recipients will be honored at CTI’s 17th Annual Evening with Local Heroes from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Lenzi’s in Dracut.
One of those being honored: Stephen Greene, LDNA Vice-President
A volunteer, activist and organizer with a background in environmental management, Green has worked to bring local residents together to address sustainability issues such as litter reduction and improved waste management, and worked to support Lowell’s beautification.

This item is from the minutes of the Center City Committee. I thought this was an excellent idea that many people would like to support.

Janet Leggat said her business, SeaMaster Cruises, is holding a Pajama Drive to provide new PJ’s for infants through teenagers who are currently living in shelters or are otherwise pajamaless. She is soliciting new PJ’s that will be donated to Community Teamwork, Inc. shelters and the Lowell Wish Project. Call her at 978-804-2839 or email her at JLeggat@SeaMasterCruises.com to help.

Update from Janet:

Thanks for carrying this message forward. We have collected 30 pairs of pj’s but our goal was 50. With 2 weeks left, and your help, I know we can reach the goal. I would love to be able to give pj’s to all the kids in the CTI shelters right now and have some in stock at Lowell Wish Project for the future. FYI- I just finished packing my two backpacks for the Backpack Attack!
